When to go to urgent care for an injury

Sprains and fractures can cause pain, swelling, bruising and limited movement at the site of the injury. Our medical team is here to promptly arrange care, perform diagnostic tests such as X-rays when necessary, and provide treatment to decrease pain and prevent further damage. Our providers may also recommend a specialist if you need follow-up care.

Do not go to urgent care for serious or life-threatening injuries. Call 911 or go to the emergency room for major injuries such as injury to the spine or neck, a compound fracture (a broken bone that’s protruding through the skin), or a deep laceration that won’t stop bleeding.
